Restricted Visa Application
The restricted visa is for those foreigners who need a consular visa and cannot apply to the Consul of their country of origin or habitual residence.
It is a visa for short-term stays such as tourism or business (attending a conference, making business inquiries or for contract negotiations) It is not a work visa.
The processing of the restricted visa application is in person.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) A request letter addressed to the Consul of Costa Rica including:
3) Booking of a return ticket or onward journey.
4) Hotel Booking or address where you will be during your stay.
5) Proof of the applicant's financial solvency (USD 100 per month), account statement for the last 3 to 6 months or a certificate by your Bank of your account balance, duly legalized/apostilled
6) Criminal records duly legalized/Apostilled.
7) Certificate of Single issued by the country of origin, duly legalized/Apostilled.
8) Birth certificate, duly legalized/Apostilled.
9) One photograph (size 4.5 cm x 4 cm, white background)

All documents that are not in Spanish must be accompanied by their translation.
If it is essential for the analysis of the visa request, the Consul or the Immigration Authority may ask for additional documents. Likewise, these requirements must comply with the provisions of the Law for the Protection of Citizens from Excess Requirements and Administrative Procedures.
For applicants outside of Singapore, once you have all the requirements, send a copy to embassycrsg@gmail.com and wait for the next instuctions.
Processing time: Approximately 90 days after sending the documents to the General Directorate of Migration of Costa Rica.
On the day of your appointment, you will need to present the original documents and your passport for visa stamping.
The cost of the Restricted Visa is USD52, more information about the payment on the day of your appointment.

- Length of your trip
