CONSULAR VISA APPLICATION

The processing of the consular visa application is in person.
- It is for short stays for tourism or business visitor activities, such as attending a conference, conducting business inquiries, or contract negotiations. It is not a work visa.
- This visa is a single entry visa. Must be used within the first 60 days of issue date.
- All passports must be valid for at least six months upon arrival in Costa Rica.
The processing of the consular visa application is in person.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) A request letter addressed to the Consul of Costa Rica including:
3) Booking of a return ticket or onward journey.
4) Hotel booking or address where you will be during your stay.
5) Proof of the applicant's financial solvency, statement of account for the last 3 to 6 months
6) Criminal records duly legalized/Apostilled.
7) One photograph (size 4.5 cm x 4 cm, white background)
8) Form, HERE
9) A reference letter or invitation, if applicable
10) any other document that you consider relevant for your application
11) payment receipt
Please provide the corresponding translation if any document is not Spanish or English.
Once you have all the documents, please, send us a copy of them to [email protected] for verification. The Consul may ask for additional documents if necessary.
We will schedule an appointment, approximately seven (7) days after receiving the documents. On the day of your appointment, you will need to present the duly legalised/apostilled originals and your passport.
The cost of the Consular Visa is USD30, more information about the payment on the day of your appointment.

- Date and place of birth
- Nationality
- Passport number
- Current place of residence
- Reason for the trip
- Length of your trip
- Approximate arrival and departure dates and airport/port/border of entry.
- Profession
- Address during your visit to Costa Rica
- Telephone and Email address.
