Passport Renewal

                                        From March 2022, passports will be biometric and valid for 10 years

REQUIREMENTS for : RENEWAL and FRIST time for Minors:

1. Valid ID and in good condition. For minors without ID, present the digital birth certificate. Issued no more than three months old, it can obtain it at the following link: HERE
2. Passport to renew
3. Full address (including zip code), phone number, and email address
4. Data Verification Consent Form, please, request the form from the Consulate.​
5. Registration form of the consular register (in the case of not being registered in our Consulate, Form HERE
6. In case of loss or theft, you must present the police report. If it is not in Spanish, it must be accompanied by its corresponding translation (it does not need to be official)

​​     FOR minors: 

1. Parentes' Valid IDs and in good condition or passport if the parents are foreigners.
2. Exit permit for minors, if you do not have one, for first passport applications it will be requested at the same time as the passport
3. Authorization for the renewal of the minor's passport, Form HERE
4. Minor request, Form HERE​

DURATION: approximately 7 to 10 business days from the date of your appointment at the Consulate.
PASSPORT collection: need to be collected by the interested party.

• Passport renewal is USD 76
• COST OF SENDING THE PASSPORT FROM COSTA RICA TO SINGAPORE ₡ 57,402.87
