Costa Rican ID Card (Cédula)The Costa Rican identity card is the main identification document for Costa Ricans. As such, your ID Card is required for any undertaking at the Consulate.
Processing Time: Please take into consideration that renewal appointment in the Consulate can last up to an hour. Once we receive your application we will send it to the Civil Registry of Costa Rica for processing. Shipping to Costa Rica via regular mail USD $6, for faster delivery using courier service USD $85. Payment must be made before you come in for the appointment and you must bring a receipt. Bank Details: For the Bank Account information, please write to embassycrsg@gmail.com The identity card may take up to three months to be sent back to the Consulate where you submitted the application. The ID Card may ONLY be collected in person by the owner. New Identity Card (First time request) A request for a new ID card must be made in person.
