Costa Rican ID Card (Cédula) IMPORTANT:
The validity date of Cédula (identity cards) that expire in the period between February 4, 2020, and February 5, 2022, both dates inclusive, is extended until April 30, 2022. It is very important to keep your ID up to date and in good condition. The Cédula (identity card) is the only document accepted to any procedure of Costa Rican citizens in the consulates. The Consulate will send your request by one of the following ways, chosen by you: a). registered mail (USD 9) b). courier (USD 82) We will inform you of the payment method before your appointment. DURATION: Please consider that it may take up to three months to receive the new Cédula (identity card) at the Consulate where you requested it. Only can be collected by the interested party. |
